We regularly assess the risk of modern slavery within our business and supply chain, with particular attention to higher risk areas such as outsourced cleaning products, equipment, uniforms, and temporary labour providers. New suppliers are screened for their labour standards, working conditions, and ethical practices as part of our onboarding process.

Due diligence measures include requesting information on supplier policies, reviewing relevant certifications where available, and considering country and sector risks. Where we identify an elevated risk, we increase the level of scrutiny and engagement with that supplier.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to uphold the same high standards we apply within our own business. Our supplier terms require compliance with all applicable labour laws, a prohibition on forced or compulsory labour, and the freedom for workers to leave employment with reasonable notice.

We conduct periodic supplier audits and assessments, which may include site visits, worker interviews carried out by authorised representatives, and review of employment records and working conditions. Where non-compliance or areas of concern are identified, we work with the supplier to implement corrective action plans and monitor progress. Failure to resolve serious issues may lead to suspension or termination of the supplier relationship.

Training and Awareness

We provide training and guidance to relevant staff, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and contract management. This training increases awareness of the signs of modern slavery, explains how to respond to concerns, and reinforces our zero-tolerance position.

This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually by senior management to ensure it remains effective, current, and aligned with legal requirements and ethical expectations. As part of this review, we evaluate the outcomes of our risk assessments, supplier audits, training programmes, and any reported incidents, and we set objectives for further improvement in the year ahead.
